Polygamy in the news.

has anyone been following the news of the Texas Child Protection Services, taking (I think) around 400 kids from a compound where the followers of Warren Jeffs live? This big swoop came following a call from one child, claiming abuse: the authorities still have not been able to find / identify this child.
Wondering what people's thought are on this topic & way of life particularly since there is at least one identified "compound" in Bountiful, BC. I believe there is another one out east too. They claim to be following the original teachings of the Mormon faith: that they are not polygamists since they only legally marry one wife & the others are "spiritual" wives.
