Our car was parked in the driveway and someone broke in, took away the GPS and car charger. I did the online complaint to the RCMP website but I am just checking here what else can I do or try to find it. Anyone can share their thoughts?

Where was this ? Just in case they are planning to hit others. Watch to see if its being sold on-line.

There has been a rash of car/shed break ins in this area. I hope you contacted the city police as well.

Not sure if you meant to say you contacted BPS? The RCMP won't do anything for you if it happened within the city of Brandon.

But also slashed tires. Had 2 of my tires on my new vehicle slashed 2 weeks ago. Could clearly see 3 knife marks in each tire. It happened to my vehicle and another one on my street. So disgusting!! We work hard for what we have only to have some lowlife/lowlives to come and destroy it! Of course a police report was filed but nothing they can do if there were no witnesses/suspects. MPI did pay for the tow and we had to pay our deductible for 2 brand new tires. it's a sad pathetic world we live in.

I had my truck broken into and some things stolen a couple years ago and they turned up for sale a few days later. Police wouldn't do anything because I didn't have serial number of my items so I had to got to the crooks house myself and confront them.  
 
At the end of the day I got my stuff back and the thief got a fine less then the value of the items for possession of stolen property.
