Anyone else getting annoying calls from them ?

yes I did

I did my census as well but I've had 3 messages over 2 weeks on my cellphone not my home phone .Always a person with an accent of some kind.

State Canada had me down twice. once in a very old location. When I phoned and confirmed I did the survey all went well. They did chase after me though.  
 
It may have been because I did not bother to file taxes for eons. Always had small returns. No entitlements required by this clown.  
 
I did do them in bulk though this year (late).

They won't ask me the questions because my name is not on their list so I will not answer the phone any more.  
 
On call display calling a couple times a day and won't leave message.  
 
Got harassed in spring about seeded acreage. Spouse was in once and made the mistake of answering but did answer their questions.  
 
Last week he answered the phone that doesn't have call display. They asked the same questions as in the spring and was so ticked off that he gave completely different answers. When they started asking financial questions he lost it. He told them we pay big bucks for an accountant to fill out income tax and they had no business asking those questions.

I've had numerous phone calls and even had an interviewer show up at my door twice. Once she even tried my door to see if it was locked. (It was) Eventually I caved and wanted to know what she wanted, (I knew I did my census) I was chosen to do another labor Canada survey that is apparently "mandatory" survey... Getting annoyed with all of this soliciting. Did the survey to get it over with and she told me I have to do it five more times, once every month. Great. Probably the same thing.

I don't see what the big deal is. Answer the call, answer their questions, work with them and they'll stop calling. It's as easy as that. We have a legal obligation to provide the information so just do it!  
 
And Old Cow Girl - perhaps Stats Can doesn't have access to your confidential tax return information. Would you feel better knowing that your tax return information is freely accessibly by this area of the Government or would you rather it be kept secure and just provide a little bit of financial information to the interviewer?

Actually in one form-the farm census? Maybe the regular census, I don't remember for sure-it did state they would obtain financial info from CRA so they didn't have to ask those questions on the census.

Crunchy it is a big deal. We had answered the seeded acreage earlier. Why are they calling twice and why the financial questions they weren''t asked the first time.  
 
Upon checking our phone that records the numbers the first call answered was Stats. The second call was just an 800 number. So how do we know that the 800 is a legit stats canada number.  
 
Last week we had a credit card compromised with a charge that was not ours and had to cancel the card so excuse me if we don''t want to give out financial info.  
 
How many of these government agencies require financials? As far as I am concerned just 1 Revenue Canada and that is why we fill out tax returns.

I have received calls about the health care survey. Said I didn't want to do it and they still ended up calling 2 or 3 more times on other days

With all the new privacy laws, one should reply to all surveys on the phone with a simple statement that information can not be shared unless a representative brings the survey to the door in person, which is what stats Canada did with the census form. From the time you mail the form back to them, and from that point onward, questions about the form should be addressed in person.
