One thing that puzzles me, several times (always in the late afternoon) I've gotten through and the phone rings many times, then is disconnected and a busy signal. I would have thought they would only have 5 open lines during that time. Does that mean there are more and my call got through later than the lucky #5?
Another thing that surprises me is the number of people who are taking the cash. Guess I like to gamble. " |

I think they should make it caller #8 for 880
I have tried to get through with redial & that women comes on & says for only blah blah blah & wastes time . & when I do other calls with redial no women is babbling . " |

Hopefully I can clear things up a bit. Randomly 3 times a day we play a very recognizable "cue to call" instructing listeners to call 204-725-2525 and that we will be taking the 5th caller. The 5th caller is told how much money is in the cash pot, which starts at $25 and we add 25 every time someone takes the cruise option. They can take the cash or opt to have their name entered in the Grand Prize draw for an Alaskan Cruise - all details on the cruise are listed at the link Trent posted above. Catman, we have 5 lines that we use for the contest and once we get to our 5th caller the other lines continue to ring while we are playing and getting the winners particulars. Your phone is probably ringing then going busy because there is only a maximum number of times the phone will ring before it cuts off and goes to a busy signal - from my understanding this happens no matter who you are calling if you let it ring long enough. Rue, we frequently take caller 8 for contests so we thought we'd mix it up this time

- can't really explain the woman answering with the "for only blah blah blah" - we don't have an automatic answering system so I would suggest this is a feature from your service provider. Hope this helps
