BRANDON, Manitoba – During a radio interview this morning, Hollywood actor Bill Murray took a moment to praise Brandon, Manitoba residents who had helped him with a mechanical issue with his rental car as he passed through the city recently:

“We were just leaving the city limits of Brandon, Manitoba when I noticed that we had a flat tire so I pulled over to the side of the road and we were about to call the car company but then just a minute or two later there were two, maybe three cars that pulled over behind us and offered to put the spare on. So I let them. I mean, I was just so impressed that people could be that friendly to pull over so quickly and offer to help a complete stranger. You have to understand that this is something that would’ve never happened in L.A.!” Murray said with a laugh.

He added later, “And they had no idea who I was before they pulled over. So yeah, that’s my story about Brandon. It’s nice to know that there are still places like this in the world.”

Doing a Google search and looking up Bill Murray having a flat tire, you can find the same story happening in several small towns. You can also find the same story but with Tom Hanks.

I had the reverse happen years ago- we were going thru Los Angeles & our van ran out of propane. A guy came out of seemingly nowhere to help us push it a block to the gas station.....he was Micky Dolenz from The Monkees! If it wasn't for the fact that we were hot & miserable from pushing an econoline I would of asked for an autograph! Lol!

Kind of figured it was a hoax and I usually check this stuff out before I start a thread, but was busy and didn't get it checked.....anyway, I think Brandon people are nice!
