plastic grocery bags( Question )

If they are so bad for the environment why do companies keep making them & why do stores keep using them ? Has it not been years since they ( companies ) have talked about getting rid of them ?just been pondering

That's part of the reason why some stores charge for them.
Lots of stores also accept the used bags back to be recycled.

I would rather they got rid of so much packaging on everything, that would also save on a lot of plastic.

But the reverse side of bringing in your own bags (which I do) is I then have to buy more bags for my garbage...

Bad for the environment!!! Some bad food are being sold and totally bad and damaging to your health and nothing being done to stop. Why? If were me it would be banned to sell but companies make money and government probably gain from it so who or what does it take to stop the environment and health to take a beat?
