I would like to know where the video tapes of programs that were produced at CKX television would be. I would like any info, more so of the shows featuring local entertainment that was televised in the 1970's

that would be an interesting idea

Hey! Just thought I''d share as back in November, I reached out to the folks at CTV and then ACC to see what they had as I was looking for a CKX Remembrance Day program from the 80s featuring a local veteran who was special to my childhood and had appeared in a CKX documentary.  
 
They kindly sent me an Excel file representing the items that were archived.  
 
I looked through the spreadsheet tabs, but in the "Date" column, all the items listed were from the 90s and onwards in various formats (3/4, BETA & DVC, and DVD).  
 
This was the reply I received from the helpful gal at ACC, along with the Excel attachment (don't think I can share/attach it here, nor do I know that I would have permission to share publicly with others, come to think of it).  
 
It may not be the answer you were hoping for, but I hope it helps... like you, I too was hoping there might be hope to find older items.

Unfortunately, ACC does not actually own the archive, we merely store it on behalf of CTV. Therefore, if you do find some footage that you would like to have access to, you will have to request usage from Karen Mitchell, News Director at CTV Winnipeg: Karen’s email address is
