We had one for quite a few years. It was great that the kids could come in and out and it always got closed, and the animals could come and go as they pleased. We got a real screen door once we had to contain a toddler.
My only concern with them is that they're not sealed, so if there's mice about it's easy for them to get in. That's really the only drawback.
