    I prefer black or stainless and ones that actually move a decent amount of air! :-)

    cylindical ones, they also oscillate, seem to do quite prefer then to the cage fan style

    Only concern is cleaning the fans

    I've had a tower fan. Thought it was junk & impossible to clean. Still have two cage fans which are easy to disassemble & keep clean. Bonus! I'm waiting for my Dyson cooling & air purifying fan to magically appear. Looks really easy to clean.
