closing up cabin for the season suggestions as to what would work best ?

I've never tried but put out some instant massed potato flakes and a little bit of water mouse eats the flakes drinks the water the flakes  
expand in mouse and kills it

do the ultra sound pest repellers work ? I would like to keep them out of the cabin. if you are not there to remove bodies it would get really smelly.

Comes in a red & white box. Green pellets. It dries up the carcass so there is no odor. Also plugged as many holes as possible with steel wool.

we have one one in our trailer and never had a mouse.

The sticky traps are also good, and will catch bugs, spiders etc as well. There are multiple catch traps that we have used in farm buildings that are also effective.  
I must say I doubt the potatoe flake soloution. Sound devices do work, but have their limits. You probably need one in each room. Also, most aren't very effective if there is something large that the mice might be behind (fridge, sofa) as it dulls or blocks the sound.
