Has anyone heard of www.wecheckservice.com? Is it actually legit? I'm wanting to become a mystery shopper. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

all you can do is try them. As long as you dont front cash, for your first assignment or have to pay to get leads then whats the worst that can happen, they spam your email?  
 
when i say front cash i mean buy something you cant afford, i have done restaurant shops that require you to pay up front,if they gave you a voucher then youd be ID'd so just dont spend more then you are willing to risk, you get to eat the food , or do a shop that is a validation of a service, that way you only lose your time

Only apply at Mystery Shop companies that have a TRACABLE phone number where you can talk to someone.  
 
I highly recommend Performalogics out of Calgary. Jason and Rick are great guys, and they are legit. They shop places like Husky.

If you are interested in becoming a secret shopper, The Federal Trade Commission recommends you use the website mysteryshop.org to search a database of mystery shopper assignments and learn how to apply for them.

What does a mystery shopper do?

I would be careful about applying for any positions I have a friend who applied and in the application she gave her information to what she thought was a legitimate employer, that info consisted of her full name, address, date of birth, social insurance number (for income tax purposes) , and also gave her bank account information so the fake employer could direct deposit funds for her pay. In the end it was all a scam and she said she had "been hacked" when in fact she volunteered all her information freely. So please be careful the scammers are ruthless and will try anything to hook people.

I have done lots of shops for SQM (Sensors Quality Management). We used to go out for a day and do shops at 3 or 4 gas stations in one day. They would usually reimburse up to a certain amount of gas and an in store purchase. Also did some at the YMCA in Brandon, NY fries at the theatre, etc. We once did a trip to Winnipeg and did 2 restaurants, then carried on to Kenora and did an evaluation at both a hotel (reimbursed for 50 percent of room) and a high end restaurant all in one day.

yes there is that risk but i have never been asked to give out my sin or bank account numbers, everyone who i worked for was contract so im responsible for my own taxes and they all mailed checks, information scams are possible but name address ect are all in the phone book
