Unless they changed it after recently repaving a lot of it, the speed limit has always been 80, or maybe just a typo.
And yes the roads are perfectly fine in normal weather, that one spot though has always scared me.
Anyone not familiar with it, you come around a curve into a short straight that on one side has a wide open spot, I would say 20 or 30 feet wide (?) that appears to be a shear drop off.
My fear isn't speed related as I don't generally speed in the park, it's more that if a larger animal like a moose or elk were standing there I might panic and swerve that way as the only other way is into the oncoming lane.
