There is a decent amount of snow in the park. Id say at least a foot. Up north around swan river there is snow and even more the further north you go. There is actually quite a bit of snow up north.

Ok thanks. I've never rode in the park. Is there staging areas for the trails and designated routes?

i'm heading north towards the park tomorrow morning. don't think you can ride in the park though. think closest is probably onanole. hear Erickson had some snow so gonna aim for there and see how it looks

There right now actually. Suppose to get ridiculously cold though after tomorrow. Im headed up there. I plan on sitting in my dads 10X16 ice shack with some bud lights and many walleye.

Yes, it has a bed and washroom for those people that wanna say drinking is illegal at fishing shacks. As long as you have these key things its all good..

Snow is not that great. Ditches show more weeds than snow. Not looking like a snow winter so far.

I heard this evening that sandy/Thomas lake has enough tonight. Any idea how much is there ? The reason I ask how much is I ride a long track and don't want to melt the sliders

A request from the farmers up that way (probably landowners anywhere)...stick to the official trails & don't "play" around in the fields, on the hills or cross fence lines where you are not supposed to be. Just because a farmer uses his machine on his land doesn't mean it is open to all, and blazing your own trail where there is no official trail is rude. Trespassing is never appreciated and can damage winter crops, hay or just plain compact the land. Sometimes it is a safety issue.  
 
I know when I was younger, we were not allowed on our own hills to toboggan as we never knew when someone would come through on our trail or on their own "new" trail, speeding &/or drunk, trespassing, and possibly hit one of us. It was a real concern.  
 
We also had people come down our lane & veer off into our field, lift or cut our cattle fence & continue on.  
 
When seen, licence plates were covered as they high-tailed it out of there.  
 
Please do not be a jerk like that. Please be respectful.

We sort of know that there will be those who don't stay in the ditch or on the trails, but just a friendly reminder.  
Last year when I was heading home I noticed 4 snowmobiles coming from the west along hiway 2, three in the ditch, one in the field. The first thought that crossed my mind was I hope these are local people who realize that about a half mile ahead there is a hi tensile fence. I didn't wait and headed off home, when I looked back to the west there were three in the ditch and one machine making a loop in the field, waited at the corner for a few minutes and finally the machine started heading east to catch up with the others.  
The friendly reminder is that hi tensile fences are hard to see at times, and being a small gauge wire, they can be quite efficient at removing people's heads if they catch you wrong.  
Just my opinion but would be sort of a terrible way to ruin a fun ride.  
Stay safe people, and remember to use your head, not lose your head.

I farm myself so there is no worries about that with me or the group we ride in. But yes I understand and get your concerns. One track across your own field to some means it's open to everyone
