I parked beside a school division pick up truck today at a South side store. I watched this older man pack groceries into the back of this truck.Why as a tax payer am I paying for this veh to be used as a personal veh to do grocery shopping? We are paying the up keep, gas and insurance for this veh through our taxes (school taxes). What if there had been an accident,would the insurance be voided? Company vehs should not be used for personal use.

He was picking up coffee, paper towel, or other supplies for the office?

He uses this vehicle as his own but pays a user mileage fee, as does many government officials do. Instead of posting on Ebrandon have some guts and ask him why he is using this vehicle.

Sounds like you hit a nerve with some of the responses you have gotten. Just get a vehicle number and report it to the school division it's happening all to often these days. City and fire and police take there kids and spouses to school and work too . No one seems to care .

know for certain it was being used for personal use? What if what he got was for division use? Maybe he had to get some supplies since school starts back up tomorrow? Since nobody knows the circumstances behind the use, can't say weather it's a waste or not.

If it the guy I'm thinking of, which im pretty sure it is based on what the OP has said, the guy who drivers the truck is in charge of a department within the school division and does take home the truck at the end of each day. But from what I have been told he is 'on call' after hours. So really for all we know he could of been ether picking up supplies or had to go into work and stopped at the grocery store on the way home. Who knows.

Contact the school division if you have an issue, Ebrandon isn't going to help much.
