I first came to Ben in 1982, and bought a Dean Friedman album at a record store at an entrance to the Shoppers Mall. Was it AA Re ords?

I worked at Music City when it was in the mall about where Smitty's and the eye place is now. Could have been it

I think that was the name, but I recall the location being more centrally located in the Mall

Was there a Sam the record man in the mall at some point?

May have been here. I remember A&A, Music City and possibly Mister Sound. I think there were a couple of others that came and went. Last one I think was Top 40.

Back in the early days of the mall, there was also Muntz Music near the entrance between the mall and Woolco/Zellers. In addition to cassettes/8 tracks/LP's, they also carried Pioneer stereo gear and Infinity speakers among other brands.

In the late 90’s it was AVE (AV Entertainment) and early 2000’s changed to CD Plus before closing for good

I think that was the name

I remember a music store in the Shoppers Mall. It was right at an entrance. It was where Smitty’s is now. I think it was A&A records, then became Music City? I remember going there after or before my first concert experience at the Keystone, in the mid 80’s. That concert was Honeymoon Suite and Haywire, and Honeymoon Suite was signing autographs at the music store!  
Later there was a central music store in the mall, maybe where north shore is now? That was CD plus at the end, but I i think it had a different name before that.

Thanks to all who replied....sounds like it was Music City.

It was A&A Records and tapes then A&A Music just inside the doors by Smitty’s current location. I was the manager from store opening to closing. Blast of a job listening to the latest tunes. (Well until rap came in) lol music city was more towards the old target location. And I believe music plus was on the main drag.

100% certain it was A&A...I went there every time I came to Brandon to check out the new "Cassettes"

A&A was at the same spot and name till the end. The Honeymoon Suite autograph session was at A&A. That was a fun day. People lined up around the corner down to Safeway. I believe Muntz became Music City. Cd plus was more towards the food Court on the main strip, and may have become or was Record Baron for a bit. Record Baron was also on 18th street behind where Applebees is.

I'm pretty sure record baron was in the Keystone Village with MicroPlay and Warehouse One back in the day...Could be wrong though..that was a long time ago

Was at the smitty location first, the A&A records. I worked there for a few years before they closed.

Yes, VIP tickets can be expensive, but some bands actually donate money from Meet & Greet sessions to their favorite charities. Blackberry Smoke is a good example. Brit Turner, the drummer, has a daughter who is a brain tumor survivor so children's oncology wards are a cause that the band holds close to their hearts.
