It was on this day that Brandon’s CKX AM went on the air. It was owned and operated by the Manitoba Telephone System, a sister to CKY AM in Winnipeg.
Coincidently it was on the same day but in 2004 that Craig Media sold its A-Channel stations to CHUM.
