On July 14, 2009, the General Museum was incorporated and elected our first executive Board of governors headed by:  
· Councillor Black as Chair,  
· Barb Andrew as Vice-chair,  
· Bill McGuire as Secretary/Treasurer.  
 
We now have status as a registered Charity and all contributions can now be made with a tax receipt issued.

We also have a Phone number: 717-1514, it will record your message, and a Board member will get back to you, at the moment we do not have any employees.  
 
At the moment Board members are meeting with individuals, club members, business groups, and education representatives to explain their ideas on how the Museum will be operated, and how we can convert the Convergy’s building into a fine, long lasting museum facility, shared with Lessees to enable this down town venue to operate for the citizens of Brandon and south west Manitoba..  
 
If any group wishes to hear our presentation please contact a member of the Board.  
 
We are soliciting letters of approval from the above-mentioned groups and individuals to be included with our proposal to city council in the next few months of our plans and options concerning this building.
