If a woman was to ride a horse in 1880's Brandon would she ride sidesaddle? I just happened across some old photos on the internet and it made me wonder. Most of the time when you watch western type TV or movies IF a woman rides a horse she is generally wearing baggy legged pants (look like a skirt) and rides like a man. What do you think? I am sure riding sidesaddle takes a lot of control to balance so maybe a reason why the women don't in the movies.
