May 21st 1822, George Simpson sends a letter about Alcohol consumption

, and the Fur Trade to the Hudson’s Bay Company in Scotland.
Presumably the powers back home must have had serious thought of banning the distribution of Alcohol to his customers, (natives of course).
Mr. Simpson is giving his reasons for continuing the practice.
