Ladies Hockey Team Brandon 1898

While researching other things I came acrosss a pic of the Ladies Hockey Team of Brandon MB from 1898 !
I had a hard time finding any infromation about them but FINALLY came across an article form the Winnipeg Morning Telegram of 31 December 1898.
The article begins "In response to a challenge issued by Brandon's second hockey team to the Brandon Ladies Hockey Club...." and details the game. You'll ahve to read the article to find out who wins.
It was noted that "The Ladies proved themselves to be excellent skaters and well able to handle the stick" and the slovely ladies in the photos are:
Miss Collingham (goal)
Miss Tamblyn (point)
Miss E Doran (cover)
Miss Cleverly (fwd)
Miss E Cameron (fwd)
Miss I Farrar (fwd)
Miss N Cleverly (fwd)
Neat - does anyone know anything more about these ladies ?
