Dec 16 / 17 in Brandon History: Commonwealth Air Training Plan agreement signed

At 1:00 a.m. December 17, 1939 the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan agreement was signed by M Prime Minister Mackenzie King. Though an international agreement it would have an enormous impact on the city of Brandon.
By the time the program ended on March 31,1945 a total of 131,553, (50,000 of them pilots), would be trained.
