He didn't try for president in 2000 Trevor: he tried for the nomination to lead the Reform party. & no, he didn't inherit his family real estate business. He borrowed money from his father to start his own. You're mixing up which leader inherited what I think. Our PM is the one that inherited millions.

Before you go on your rage about Trump here are some things to consider.  
Hillary called american citizens who didn't vote for her or were nor going to "deplorables"  
Obama called Mexico a "a-hole of a country.  
The Clintons used money raised for Haiti relief through there foundation for their own use.  
And there are other examples of Democrats using language we don't like.  
Trump isn't politically correct, he tells it like it is and some people do not like the truth.  
And would anyone here move to those places he called out.

Trump has some really good policies and works hard to get things done. It's about time there was a leader like that around. Despite the the left trying to crucify him at every turn, he has accomplished a lot, fulfilled promises and is actively seen as trying to fulfill more of his promises. finally a leader remembers promises after an election.

I've watched CNN a few times in the past year. I can tell you, I understand why its listeners would be morally depressed. They can't produce a single unbiased news report anymore and if there is no bad news on trump they dig up a fake one.

Agree with what you say Farmer Mike. Trudeau needs to stay home in what we call Canada and do some good instead of travelling the world handing out our hard earned tax dollars. that it's more than just conservatives a tad disappointed with our PM. In fact I know of some who voted for him, now not quite so thrilled not only with what he's doing but with what he's NOT doing - like maybe drinking water on Reserves like he said would happen. As for Democrats in the states, I think it's about time they accepted they made a less than great choice to run in the election: lost it & maybe move on. Btw, your last link showing the poster of Trump for President was from the leadership race of the reform party. You can't just pick out one part to support your side of the debate. Also, if Trump inherited his father's wealth why would he need the million $ loan as you state, which is accurate? I don't have a Facebook account, but my wife showed me a picture of why some of these countries were called what they were called. Now at times I like a challenge, so the challenge was to track down the origin of the picture, took some time but managed to find out that the picture was taken after a major earthquake in the area. Now I guess not many people want to waste time looking for the truth, and it seems that very few are even concerned about it anymore, same can be said about the rule of law. If a law doesn't suit or ideas, the law is wrong, not maybe us.  
Also did a bit of reading about President Trumps comment about Norway, sort of made me laugh, here we have a person representing the right inviting people from a country that has a trillion dollar reserve fund because they are fiscally responsible, and also a country that is quiet socialist in many ways, including a goverent funded medical system. As for people leaving Norway to immigrate to the US, data shows that it's more people leave the US bound for Norway than the other way round.  
Reading from the beginning to the end, we seemed to have regressed to MSNBC vs FOX, and the sad part about that is the actual direction and well being of a country becomes second in the minds of many people. It becomes a game of our team vs their team, now this might be acceptable for sports, but not for the direction of any country  
If politics is truely a reflection of the people, we're in pretty sad shape.  
The President, or Prime minister of a country, should understand the diversity of the nation they represent, and govern with the concern of all citizens, something that just doesn't seem to be happening.

any discussion that has anything to do with politics, it typically spirals to this point. Especially in today's political climate. A Facebook post could be about 2 puppies and there's usually someone who has bring politics into it. Conservatives will blame Liberals for everything and Liberals will blame Conservatives for everything. Everyone thinks their political party is the best and does nothing wrong.

I am embarrassed as a Canadian to have this idiot represent me and my country. Hopefully there is something left of it when the clown is removed in 2019.

Man its going to be a long and upsetting 7 more years of Trumps presidency for a lot of people. You people need to look past what the media is telling you, and look at the real economic numbers & policies. I for one would really appreciate a PM that focuses on looking after their own people rather then sending money to foreign government as hand outs, & what do we receive in return?  
 
People don''t realize how bad it would have been if Clintons got into power. The day of wrecking is coming for her and her associates. We are about to witness political corruptions from a previous administration that has never been seen before. What I time to be alive to witness it.

This reply is directed toward the fear factor that seems to becoming more a part of political debates or conversation. On the US side remember back to when Barack Obama was elected president, it was going to be the end of the US, it was going to be the end of democracy and a free vote, but it didn't happen. On our side of the boarder some people were pushing the same ideas because of the election of Stephen Harper, but once again it didn't happen. Now in Canada some are promoting the idea that there won't be anything left of Canada by the next election. My question to those people is have you sold all your assets and bought a ticket to somewhere better.  
One big falsehood has to do with economy and economic conditions, just look at a graph of the stock market since 2008, up in both countries under two different political ideologies.

The number one priority of a leader should be doing what's best for his or her country's citizens. Putin does that, with intelligence and class. Trump is or is trying to do that but he needs some work on his manner. Trudeau's priority seems to be his image to the rest of the world.

Sprinter, Lindsey Graham is not a democratic but a republics from South Carolina, could be mistaken about the state, but not his political affiliation.  
Now this is just my opinion but I agree with Graham on the description of a hellhole, I'll post a link to the Haitian history and all the problems they have had in that country and then ask yourself if that is not a hellhole, different meaning altogether from Trump's reference. Many times areas with an history of continual conflict involving atrocities against it's people and wide scale corruption fall into the description of a hellhole.

omg yes, I'm serious. My opinion is based on the videos of him (Putin) I've seen, listening to him speak. A lot of what he says appeals to my beliefs so I suppose I am biased. I like him.

What I found was on snopes, and was a reference regaurding what president Obama said in regards to the situation after the death of Muammar Gaddafi the President of Libia, where the country basically fell into a chaotic state, somewhat like Graham referring to a hellhole. He was not referring to the country or it's people but the situation.
