IMO..Biden is only there to complement Harris.. I get a feeling Biden and his cognitive issues will be a red carpet for Harris to step in.  
 
Not saying she cant do the job.

While always a Canadian citizen and wholly American educated, life in Canada began at 22. That was 32 years ago. When Trump took office I watched the PBS Newshour every night out of concern. a man who professed joy in grabbing women was President. Mom lives in Louisiana and a brother in Texas. That summer was a road trip to Wyoming for the eclipse. The country hadn't changed much, and watching to Newshour stopped. Biden becoming President won't change much either. Democracy will prove to have prevailed in both situations.

Biden stuttered when he was a kid. That may account for pauses in his speech. It is easy to make assumptions about Biden’s cognition because of his age. But I watched the 2nd and final debates. No way a person with dementia even mild can speak so eloquently and with that much clarity. IMO Biden has full use of all his cognitive capacities. Concerns about dementia have even been debunked. I wish people would stop bringing it up. Not everyone gets dementia as they age.  
 
Now Trump on the other hand definitely has some pathology (may or may not i:nclude dementia) going on with all his narcissistic ramblings and lying. What I can’t understand is why he consistently gets away with making things up to blame for his own inadequacies and people waste precious time and money debunking him. And in almost every case his ramblings have been debunked. It amazes me every time.

speaks quite well, heck even I stutter at times. I work with a few with a stutter. Just watched his speech and he stutter a couple times. But it does not affect how will govern.  
 
He cares about the people and not all about himself. And he's right, politics in the US and Canada have become so demonized. We are all residents of our 2 countries and should work together to resolve issues. They are not just conservative vs liberal issues. He's not going to govern by tweet, call everyone fake news. Looking forward to a more calm Presidency.  
 
All through trump's years, he refused to work with anyone who is not loyal to him. He egged on his cult to demonize anyone who isn't a trump supporter. Encouraged intimidation at his rallies, with flags, hats, banners.

I’m hoping that the fever had finally broke, by saying that I’m meaning that everyone becomes much more rational about the whole political topic.  
I was just involved in a rather heated debate with a Trump supporter, there was a fair bit of dirt thrown, but eventually we found common ground, and both admitted that we are led to fight, which gains no one anything. We are frustrated and angry, but fighting without looking for solutions for everyone is the biggest problem. We ended with agreements, we looked past political ideology and focused on problems, now if two ordinary people can agree within an hour, what is wrong with politicians?  
The maybe is that politicians finally recognize the people, and the reason behind democracy.

have become so binary in politics in Canada and US. It's us vs them, on/off, yes/no. There is no grey zone. And if you disagree, you labelled as a brainwashed sheep. The moment your bring up social programs, it's immediately turned around into you want a socialist/communist county, WTH!!  
 
And I really hope this fever has broke. Sadly for the most die hard conservative MAGA supporter, that may not happen.  
 
And also sadly, it also not always a stranger but family or friend. These past few years I feel like I'm walking on eggshells. I support Trudeau and dislike Trump. While I have family and friends who are totally 180. I've been afraid to post my true views in order to not alienate family and friends. Of course they are free to post whatever they want that's anti-Trudeau and pro-Trump. Wish it wasn't like this. On my Facebook I posted the Biden/Harris 2020 logo and now wait for the grief.

A stuttering issue. He does not have any cognitive issues. Look at how well he has overcome this!! Most people would have no idea. I didn’t until I saw a documentary on Trump vs Biden.  
Only during debates did he seem to be showing signs of his “disability” and even that was not very noticeable

and the Republicans are still refusing to see that there is no way courts will turnover the states that Biden won. The courts have so far refused to hear the cases or laughed the lawyer out of the room without sufficient evidence and those are Republicans judges. Recounts may reveal a few hundred changed votes but nowhere near the thousands needed to overturn the results. All of the cases so far are baseless and have no evidence.  
 
Mike Pompeo in a press conference stated that they are ready for a peaceful transition to ............ a second trump term.  
 
The Government Services Administration which is lead by a Trump appointee is also refusing to acknowledge Biden is President-elect and allowing funds and services.  
 
It seems like Republicans are afraid of crossing Trump and his followers. They are afraid of retributions that Trump will do to their political careers. Trump just refuses to think there is anyway he can lose. He even made it clear before the election that if he loses, it must of been because of election fraud. In other words if he won, there was no election fraud.  
 
And this situation is totally different than what happened in Florida in 2000, there are zero parallels. The 2000 election was centred around the voting machines not fully cutting the voters selection. It was a tight race with 500 ballots in question.  
 
But Biden is still working on as President-elect.

The numbers don’t make sense, there will be recounts in 3-4 states add in that acceptance rates for mail in ballots were almost 3x the amount of normal. It doesn’t make sense, sorry but I don’t see 30,000 Americans who never voted previous checked the right areas as I’ve seen messed up ballots for other things less important get fudged. Just saying
