Anybody else kinda shocked that their Union is hoping they all vote no to the deal from Canada Post?  
Canada post as we know it, is dying, they’ve already had money thrown at them to keep them going. They can’t offer much more. You know the saying, you can’t get blood from a stone.  
I personally think that if they don’t take this deal, they will be locked out, and this will be the final nail in the coffin for Canada Post. And all those people will be out of work.  
I have already lost confidence in them after the last couple strikes. And have been looking toward alternate sources. It’s been frustrating being in limbo for so long. I have family who haven’t been able to get packages for months now, because of the threat of strikes, and they are rural. I’ve become the family mail centre for packages to be dropped off here and family to pick up when in they are in Brandon. Super frustrating.  
 
Or am I wrong for thinking this way?? Is there something I’m missing? What’s your thoughts?

same....It's the threat of the strike, much like the threat of us tariffs..makes everything uncertain.

UPS is way too expensive to send an envelope. The rurals still need this service.  
It should be bought up by someone who can work it, even an existing courier company. Should be privatized and get rid of the union. (in a perfect world).  
 
People don't want to work for a fair wage and decent benefits?... let them go and someone else will do the work.  
My opinion, but who cares, right?

Union's can be a great thing for the worker in most cases. In this case they are going to get everyone fired when Canada Post dissolves. Canada Post hasn't made a profit since 2017 and is currently in the hole for 3.8 billion (yes, billion with a "B"). What does the union want, more money for its workers. Let's see if we can get that deficit up to 4 billion before the end of the year. Let's get everyone fired, a new company will step in to deliver the mail, workers will get half the wages and the top brass at CUPW will enjoy the rest of their time at the cottage in Muskoka
