As for the comments of have you ever driven a semi and all that. There are signs lights and heights posted. you are supposed to be a professional driver and know these measurements and follow signs.
I don''t have a class 1 due to I couldn''t be bothered with all the BS and now can''t pass the medical anyway for a health reason either.
But I have operated large machinery for years. I know if it will fit through a gap or under a doorway before I hit it.
This is full on driver stupidity, or not being able to read a common language that is written or spoken in Canada. My old boss has told me of the horror stories of the "new Canadian" delivery drivers he gets that speak no english and he''s trying to explain what they need to do or how to get somewhere else when they point to the next delivery ticket.
If this is what happened the government need to stop giving these guys tests in their own language with interpreters. once they pass they are on their own technically driving missiles
we are lucky more people aren''t getting killed in Accidents these guys could cause when they are on the road alone after the tests. It''s common to see 4 trucks follow with the guy in front being the one that knows the way and understands whats going on, if one stops they all stop to stay together. #1 suspect Cell phones since the cell this has gotten worse then texting worse again with all the distractions plus higher trailers and loads since that underpass was built and calling truck drivers dumb you don't have a clue. " |

is like anything else there are profesional drivers/operators and steering wheel holders and seat warmers thats all they are. some of these guys that have class ones or even bachhoe construction/ equipment permits shouldn't have, or operate any equipment Youtubes full of them and the mistakes. Yeah I run equipment safly and don't wreck crap by stupid careless mistakes like texting while driving or what ever.
I can drive a semi in the yard do what ever to fix it I just don't have a licence to drive it on the road. Yeah I've driven bigger tandem grain truck's so I'm not totally blind as to driving this stuff on the road under pressure to be somewhere in a hurry at busy times.
Yeah farm kids do hit stuff it's called being distracted or not having experience, just like a semi driver that can't read the signs or speak the language. yes trucks hit it before but it's not been so common as in the last few years that I've known about it.
