Seed potatoes

Lindenberg seeds but it’s too early. You can order now but they won’t be available until the beginning of May.
Similarly the co-op grocery stores etc usually have seed potatoes but not until late April or early May.
Watch the quality when buying. The last few years seed potatoes from various suppliers have been poor, often diseased or rotting in the bag or often have long shoots already. Diseased or rotten seed potatoes should be returned for refund, don’t plant them.
Long shoots can be rubbed off leaving one or two much shorter shoots for planting as long as the tuber is healthy.
It’s bad business really seed potatoes are sold as number 1 grade but those being sold in recent years are anything but number 1, very disappointing.
