Scotch Pine Tree

I have a "huge" Scotch pine tree in my yard. Every year the needles fall like crazy. On the weekend alone, I raked up three bags of (brown) needles, it looked like I had straw all over my yard.
Does anyone know how to prevent this. I had the "tree people" come look at it and they said it was healthy.
