Looking for advice on where to buy bedding plants

I'm planting a large garden this year and am wondering - does it matter where i buy bedding plants? I will be starting some of it from seeds which i have already purchased, but i'm going to get bedding plants for my tomatos and peppers etc. I'm looking for inexpensive but quality...any suggestions? Thanks!
