Wondering if anyone manually fills Soda Stream CO2 cartridges in Brandon? Would be nice to cut the costs of refills...

far as I know no one does that here in Brandon.
If you go to Canadian tire - bring your empty one with you, pick up a new one and to to Customer Service - they ring in the new one and give a refund on the old one. It helps keep the price down as you will not be paying full price.

the canisters are designed in a way only SodaStream can refill them.

Not true, there are many places that refill them. (Not exchange) but usually 24 hour turn around time.

When I was in BC for Christmas a convience Store there charged only $10.

...if someone else besides a Sodastream authorized retailer refills your canister, it voids any and all warranty.

I am an authorized Sodastream dealer, I would know!

The exchange program states you pay only for the cost of the gas. I highly doubt it costs $25 to fill the canister with CO2. Thinking about picking up the equipment to self refill. The amount I use my machine would cover costs in no time. The warranty process is always a pain in the butt. Ill take my chances.

The refill valves and gauge are easy to get but the cylinder of beverage grade co2 is a little trickier to find. I have them and the amount saved filling it myself was worth the investment. If you are not careful dealing with pressure canisters can be dangerous so this is not for everyone to do.

I have not said I am selling any products or services so this meets ebrandon posting rules.
