To those who make deviled eggs how do you get the skin off cleanly?

I presume you mean removing the shells.  
Here’s what I do. Pierce the big end of the egg with a pin or needle (just the size of the pin). Boil eggs for 12 minutes. You will see air bubbles coming out of the hole. Cool the eggs in cold water. When you want to peel them bang the small end on counter. Lightly crush the egg in your hand and the shell will come right off. Before using this method I used to totally wreck an egg trying to peel it.

1/4 tsp baking soda to the water then boil. Rinse in cold.

Buy an instant pot. Perfect eggs that peel like magic, in 6 minutes.

after you boil them. put 1 in a half glass full of water and shake for 5 seconds. the shell will all come off in one piece

Add eggs to boiling water,, return to boil, cover turn off heat set timer 10 minutes, once done put in cold water and run under cold water as you peel each egg

You can also buy Egglettes. You crack the egg into the Egglette, seal it, and boil it in the Egglette. After they are cooked, it pops right out (silicone). Showcase in the mall says they are getting them in soon.

I put 1 tbs. vinegar & a pinch of baking soda in the water to boil,, Works perfect every time.

Simple: DO NOT put the eggs in the water UNTIL THE WATER IS BOILING.  
 
Nine minutes for a great hard boiled egg. Shell comes off easily and cleanly.

I find older eggs are easier to peel when hard boiled than fresher ones.

Haha...there are so many different methods. I have not found one that is foolproof. I have tried many listed above and others.  
 
That said, I have another to add.  
 
Put the older, room temperature (this is always key in anything I've heard) eggs in cold water to which oil & vinegar has first been added. When it is done boiling after 10 minutes, drain and cool off with COLD water...also key. Change it if you have to to keep water cold until your eggs are cooled.  
 
Now, you can try rolling it and then scooping around the inside edge with a spoon.  
 
My suggestion is to experiment and see what works best for you. You have a lot of suggestions to try. Good luck!

Yup, I bake my hard boiled eggs! Call me stupid but I could never time the eggs right when boiled lol.  
 
Put the whole egg, shell and all, in a muffin tray to keep them from rolling everywhere. Bake at 325F for 20 minutes...perfect every time and I think easier to peel. When I take them out I put them in a ice bath right away to cool down

I agree with this. I’ve been boiling eggs for a very long time and have tried everything I’ve heard. Only thing I know for sure is that fresh eggs are hard to peel. I’ve had an instant pot for about 2 years and it works every time, no matter how fresh the eggs are (we have some hens so I’ve tried very very fresh ones). 6 minutes, release pressure, put pot in sink and run cold water on them until cool enough to handle. I just crack the large (air space) end and start there.

As someone already mentioned, adding a bit of baking soda to the water when boiling, it works perfectly!

The fresher the eggs, the more difficult to peel when cooked, regardless of how they're cooked. I use eggs that have been in the fridge for a week or more, with no issues

No magic to it just wait till the water is boiling before you put the eggs in the water.

I've battled this problem but have now had luck always adding the eggs to boiling water rather than putting the eggs in the water then boiling it. Hasn't let me down yet.

I used to have a hard time with this, till someone told me what to do to get perfect hard boiled eggs every time. I don't add anything...I just bring my water to a boil, put the eggs in, and set a timer and boil the eggs for 15 mins. Take off, rinse with cold water, then peel them, they're perfect every time, for me anyway. But everyone has their own way , but seeing as you're trying all these ideas..have a try and let me know :-)

I bake mine too! I have silicone muffin trays (not tin), and they take a little longer. In my oven, it's 32 mins.

For the last five years I have used Eggies. Similar to the Egglets you crack the egg in to the Eggie and then boil for 12 - 19 minutes depending on egg size. I love these things. I’ve seen them at Dollarama and other dollar stores

It works so well, but you have to use the bain Marie and cover them otherwise the eggs cook too hard and fast.  
I had not made devilled eggs for years because I hate peeling eggs, now I make them all the time.

I steam my eggs, they peel effortlessly. If you’ve ever had boiled eggs at a hospital and noticed they peel easily it’s because they steam them too. Wait until the water is boiling then remove from heat, place them in the steaming basket. 10-15 mins for hard, 6mins soft. Once time is up run under cold water

Difference between the older Eggies and Egglets are 2 fold. Eggies are plastic, and need to have oil or non-stick spray used before putting the egg in, adding fat and calories. Egglets are Silicon, which is non-stick already. Eggies are stiff, while the Egglets are flexable, allowing you to squeeze the cooked eggs out. Improvement on there idea.
