has anyone had a good experience ordering in vegan pizza? we ordered once, and the cheese was so gross we had to throw a $40.00 pizza in the garbage? (the cheese was slimy and gummy)

I find the key is to ask for light cheese or just no cheese and add your own when you get home. I actually prefer my pizza with no cheese now and then just dip it in thousand island dressing or BBQ sauce.

happy camper, did you order the one from I think it was Little Italy? If so, I thought it was gross too. They use daiya but the old style shreds which I find gross to begin with. I've started just ordering pizza's without cheese (and vegan dough).

Has anyone tried Pizza Pizzas vegan pizza? I heard they don't use Daiya cheese.

We have Gluten free pizza crusts & we also have Lactose free cheese! (specialty ordered)
called Cogruet! we use these items on our Vegetarian pizza Benny's Shoal Lake

Lactose free cheese simply means the bacteria has been allowed to consume the majority if the lactose in the milk. Most hard cheeses are relatively lactose free. It has nothing to do with being vegan.

OP: I currently can't have any dairy so I've been eating lots of veganized things. I agree cheeseless is the way to go. I wil sprinkle on the nutrional yeast to get that salty and cheesy flavour.
