Do you think a vegetarian restaurant would do well in Brandon? Would you eat there?  
What type of things would you want to see on the menu?

There would be some interest, but I can't see one being viable in the long run . . .

I think it would be an excellent option among all the pizza places + grills around the city. We love Boon Burger in Winnipeg and ive always thought something like that would so well in Brandon! I feel like not enough people realize vegetarian food doesnt always mean raw vegetables and sadness. My family would definitely eat at a vegetarian place if one opened up in Brandon!

My husband and I would like to have such a restaurant in Brandon!

I always say it sucks to go to Winnipeg for good vegetarian/vegan food. I think a restaurant like that here would be awesome!

if you are the one wanting to invest in a franchise opportunity. That is the only way a chain becomes established. They don't simply "come" here.

I have been vegetarian for 30+ years, and have only once gone to a vegetarian restaurant. I find that it is much easier for me to find non-meat items at a non-vegetarian restaurant than it would be for my meat-eating friends and family (which is who I usually go out to eat with) to find meat items at a vegetarian restaurant.

it would have to have vegetarian food that's done almost like non-vegetarian food. I think something along the lines of Boon Burger is easier to get non-veggie friends into

There may be a few people who would frequent this place. People of Brandon are pretty stuck in their ways, its hard enough to make a go of anything not burgers or pizza around here. I make a point to try all of the new and ethnic restaurants around here some are amazing but people wont try what they don't know. I would not eat at a vegetarian only restaurant though.  
 
I would think most places offer a vegetarian option when they are going out for meals, most people eat out in groups or pairs and would likely choose a restaurant to suit everyone's needs, not just the vegetarians.

looking forward to fressii...komfort kitchen has a good vegan bomb (vegan burger) also, when in a hurry, we sometimes to go a&w for their vegi burger, and just ask them to leave off the cheese..It is on a multi grain bun, lots of lettuce, onion , tomato, and the burger is good. fries and a root beer is $ 10.00

I don't think Fressii is coming but I heard Freshii was looking at locations in Brandon.  
 
As for a full out vegetarian restaurant in Brandon I think it would be a struggle and likely close within a year.

I don't think a vegetarian restaurant would do well. There's so many great restaurants with tasty vegetarian options already like Chili chutney and lady of the lake

Brandon is a tough market for restaurants because we have a high number of restaurants for our population. I think a regular restaurant with a good vegan/vegetarian selection might be a better idea and then market the vegan/vegetarian choices.

I would love a vegetarian restaurant here in town. I eat out quite a bit and try to keep my selections on the healthy side. I eat mainly vegetarian, but I also keep an eye on the prices. I couldn't support a restaurant that dosn't have reasonably priced options. If it were outrageously priced you might see me a few times a year. If its reasonable, you might see me a couple times a month.

Pardon my ignorance but don't most restaurant already have a vegetarian section? Salads and what not? I don't know many full out vegetarians so I am not sure what all they eat. I had a hipster cousin who moved out from Vancouver who was a vegetarian but he gave up as it was too hard to eat like that and expensive. I mean it would be nice to have an option for those people. I just can't imagine someone investing money in a strictly vegetarian restaurant, especially in Brandon.  
 
And by the way Brandon is a city not a town.

I’d love for a vegetarian restaurant. Something like Boon Burger would be great.

...in the 1970s the coffee circles were doubting the viability of a Burger King.

At the old Blockbuster store. Has anyone heard of when they open??

Subway, Thai Express, Sizzling Wok, NY Fries and Smittys all have vegetarian options.
