We don’t eat out in Winnioeg often, and are going tomorrow night (not Jets related lol) I’m looking for somewhere different, not chain restaurants, although we like Earls. Something that serves local ingredients maybe? Something with a lot of ambiance  
Wondering what golden gem you have unearthed in Winnipeg. Note: dietary restrictions are spices, no peppers/chilies/curry

Chef Dario is Colombian. I would describe it as gourmet with South American influences. 44 bucks a person includes 5 Course meal. It is very small and intimate. Sometimes many patrons are speaking Spanish. You need to make reservations. It is amazing. The Argentine steak is best ever.

Quiet, quaint Italian restaurant in the West End. Nothing in Brandon compares to their pizza.

Pizzeria Gusto, hands down so amazing.

Come with a BIG appetite because you'll need it to finish one of Blondie's (1969 Main St) famous burgers. Not in the mood for a burger? Try one of her foot longs or the poutine or.. Menu isn't fancy and the decor is kitschy, but the fare is home style comfort food.

There are quite a few places to eat in the exchange district and i would say theyre all worth trying out! Definitely look up menus of places within Winnipegs exchange district. We also enjoy getting lunch in the forks: there are lots of options in there! Including NuBurger which i agree with an above post is quite good

Carnaval. Brazilian bbq. They bring meat on swords. Highly recommended. Look up their menu. Did I mention meat on swords?

Love the mussels and fries! And the creative cocktails that change with the seasons.

Youve all given some great suggestions and will make it hard to choose  
So far the burger places are getting nids, I think Sous Sol sounds exciting as well as Prasant Cookery. That one might take the win! Might have to make another trip soon to try Deer and Almond and meat on a sword ha ha haa!

prairie 360 is a cool experience and great food. take an outdoor glass elevator up 30 floors to a revolving restaurant. free parking too

This is a great list. Would only add Segovia. It's a tapas restaurant and you can walk around the corner and have Baked Expectations for dessert!

For an opinion And i gave mine. It was not a joke.

Also said no chain restaurants.

For the price this place is outstanding and the food is fantastic
