Had a real good lunch there yesterday (our first time, bit of a Johnny come lately here).
Have to admit, went in with mid-range expectations which they very much exceeded.
- loved the bread that kept coming... maybe a little too much
So soft and fresh
- service was a 5/5. Very attentive, very personable and real good with kiddo
- like some of the touches they have for kids, like toy after the meal and the 3D viewfinder for previewing deserts. I liked that the server took the initiative to work out a timing for kiddo's meal (we ended up having brought earlier than the adult meals)
- had the Linguine Chicken Tetrazzini. I often judge my restaurant meals relative to what I can make at home and though I'm sure if I put my mind to it I could make a lot of cool stuff, I found the dish packed with taste that I imagine would get me in trouble on all-you-can-eat night
- I'm sure supper is a little more, but to feed myself for $12 with a lunch size portion was unexpected (I usually just have water at restaurants unless its supper time for the odd glass of vino)
- I have an allergy that all of my restaurant orders have to be done carefully to be mindful of. Handled as well as I could ask
Be it events, new businesses or restaurants I try my best to be candid and point out any suggestions for improvement as constructively as possible... but to be honest there werent many from this particular visit.
