I have some valiant grapes that are ready and others not yet. I was wondering how much do people sell their grapes for by the pound? What do they weigh them in extra. I have lots so it would be a shame to let them go to waste.  
 
Incase some of you are wondering, I would use them myself to make jelly, but I tried to make jelly last year and it didn’t work. I also have a 2 1/2 year old daughter and right now I have 4 jobs. Hopefully I can only have one full time job in September when my daughter goes to daycare full time.

For the past few years I have sold grapes for $15 for the first 5 lb pail and $10 for each pail thereafter. We have picked hundreds of pounds of grapes off the vines here. These grapes make great jelly (mine turn out wonderfully), juice, pies and some people like to make wine from them (although I have been told that the Valiant grape is too sweet of a grape to make good wine). We will have lots of grapes again this year. We will be starting to pick next week. Just to followup, harvested tonight. Much sweeter and more concord-like than 3 weeks ago. Sugar test showed almost identical to what they were on Sept 5 when I pulled them off the vine last year, so thinking thats where they max out! Whats your experience been as far as peak ripeness VRG.... whats the longest you've left them on?

I have to get to ours tonight or tomorrow! Going by the date on my photos, last year we left them until Sept 23!? Can you elaborate on what you use to test them - I’ve never tested mine by any way other than by taste
