Thanks for the ideas & the heads up! I contacted the person trying to contact me.
I had checked Peavey Mart and they have very little for cheesemaking supplies. They had sourced them from the US (from cheesemaking.com, Ricki Carrol), even though there were Canadian suppliers in Ontario (Glengarry) who had quite a great selection. There is also a supply store in Winnipeg that I have been to, but again, it isn't as convenient as something bought in Brandon. Using cultured buttermilk was a less expensive & much more convenient way to culture specific cheeses (like cheddar), etc., so my inquiry here. If I can't find what I need close by, I will be putting in an order online, and then I'd order even more cultures if I went that route. Part of this is to keep my costs (and temptations) down. lol
