    Minary in Souris has unbelievable donuts, apple fritters, long johns etc.  
     
    A number of years ago I had donuts from a bakery in Hamiota that were excellent but I can't say I remember the name or whether they even exist anymore.

    I actually made a trip from Brandon to Souris yesterday specifically for their Bigfoot Apple Fritters!!  
     
    Their cheese breads, cookies...and everything is soooooo good!

    I will usually call ahead and check availability and have them set aside fritters especially as they only make so many and sell out quickly!

    If you are going to Souris, swing by Boissevain next time! The Bakeshop is closed temporarily for a few weeks, but has awesome donuts (as well as other baking) and is expected to be open again in March!
