Has anyone else out there tried the Mexican restaurant that took over in the Crystal Hotel since the Newfie Cafe closed? If you haven't you're missing out. It's reeeeally good. A family who imigrated here from Mexico a few years ago with Maple Leaf is running a cute little restaurant and it is worth the trip. There always seems to be someone there who speaks pretty good English (well, better than my Spanish anyway which is none) but it's a bit of an adventure. I'm never quite sure what exactly I am ordering but I have never had anything there that I didn't like and well... it's kind of fun to see what shows up on my plate Mmmm... and they have this wonderful green salsa that comes with many of the dishes that, if they'd bottle it and sell it to me, I'd sit down and eat it with a spoon! It doesn't seem to be very busy and I hope some people will come out to support them. I highly recommend it!
