Vegan dining

Next week, a friend and I are going to the movies. We're going to have time to get a bite to eat before, but they're a vegan. Though I have no problems with this, I'm clueless as to which restaurants have a vegan menu, let alone which are any good. Any suggestions? And, no, it's not a date.
