Chili

They freeze fine, with no loss of texture that I have noticed. I freeze large batches of my vegetarian chili all the time, and I always use chick peas. You could freeze them for the next time you have another half can.
But I second the above, whip them up in the food processor with a bit of tahini, lemon juice, salt,and garlic for a quick hummous or my kids love them on tossed salads too.
Another quicky is just tossing them with some cooked white rice or couscous - heck if that is the main meal in many African countries, it must be a good staple meal. (My kids love that - both with chick peas or kidney beans)
