I was talking to the lady who runs Brewers direct on Rosser, and she mentioned that there is a brewing club in Brandon. I was wondering if anyone knows when/where they meet?

Yes, there is a home brew club, we call ourselves the Westman Alers.  
 
We have a facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/WestmanAlers  
 
We meet once per month on a rotating day (Monday one month, then Tuesday the next, then Wednesday, then Thursday, then back to Monday).  
 
All of the meeting dates can be found on our facebook page, though there appears to be some confusion about this month's - it's listed as tomorrow, but I think it's actually going to be on Monday the 16th. Check out the page and we'll get it sorted out
