Just wondering,,,,When you decide to go out dining for a nice dinner,,,, Where would you go in Brandon.............

I prefer Apple bees all the way.... Best food in town, & best service & decor anywhere.....

The Keg for atmosphere and good food, and though not fine dining we love sushi hut.

Amazing food awesome service best place to eat!!

Hands down! Authentic, great new location and atmosphere, homemade fresh food, no complaints! It's different from the usual burger, pasta or steak joint!

Marvelous food, the best in town! Absolutely superb prime rib and Greek entrées. This is our favourite restaurant.

We eat out a fair bit on weekends but I don't really think we have a favourite. For breakfast we almost always go to Alberts though. Blu and Joe Beeverz are a couple we always have good meals at but for some reason we don't go as often as other places. Chicken Chef (I know, not fine dining lol....although, does Brandon have fine dining? I think of them as all pretty casual) is one we go to often actually as it has something for everyone and I really love their liver (ya I like liver ok! Haha). For pizza, Astoria or romano's. For buffet, ye's. For special occasions the green olive and the very odd time the keg  
 
I really don't want to go cook supper now.....lol

If you like ribs and/or pizza it is worth the drive to Portage. I have never tasted better ribs anywhere.

5 kids, some in University, all in school somehow, two professional incomes, live on a farm, 7 vehicles, (all fords by the way) and 7 cell phones, horses, volleyball, et etc. you get the picture.  
 
Did I mention they are all girls...($$$$$)  
 
McDonalds for $80, anything else would be above $150 minimum and more like $300. The Keg would be $400 plus.

I really miss Kokanos Reatraunt where you could have the prime rib and the atmosphere of fine dining. I wish there was at least one restaurant that still provided both. There is a huge difference between a nice meal & fine dining.

We have been to Blu once and it was quite good too.

For breakfast or lunch it is really the only place we like to go. Supper at the Keg, Tokyo Zone, Chili Chutney, pizza express or Marinos and that is all that makes my list.

Chili Chutney for sure!! So good! Hansel and Gretels is good too, as well as Albert's. (apparently we like ethnic foods haha). For a "regular restaurant", we like Patches of the 40 Bistro.... the food is freshly cooked (not microwaved like some big chain restaurants) and frankly, makes me think of the old hotel in St. Claude's cooking!

I agree.. Brandon doesnt really have any "fine dining"..... that meaning id wear jeans to all restaurants haha.

Depends what I'm in the mood for, but both have never disappointed me.

Best restaurant. Have been there casual & special occasions. Excellent service, food & atmosphere!

when we do it is either the Keg or Echos. Enjoy the food at both places.

Try Tana Ethiopian Cuisine on Lorne and 10th Street. It's brand new! The owners are really nice and the food is amazing and quick. Also they have yummy vegetarian food for the vegetarians. Keep in mind that it's a little spicy.

chili chutney is my favourite restaurant in brandon, why is that unbelievable?! lol  
 

My faves are: Chili Chutney, Astoria, Romano's.

I like certain things from certain restaurants! Boston Pizza is probably the restaurant I go to the most! I really, really enjoyed the food at The Dock though!

I love The Dock, fresh food you can taste the love in it!  
Chili Chutney is good for something different.  
Even sushi hut is good, I love sushi though

We are in a similar position as Frankly. But instead of feeding the 5 of us at McDonald's, ($55-$60), we would rather spend $65-$70 dollars on take out from Double Happiness. Everyone gets full and there is enough leftovers for lunch the next day!  
As far as our favourite "fancy" restaurant- hands down- The Keg!

To the Wonderful people who refer to Astoria Pizzaria as a great place to go out for Dinner. Steve & Barb Parras, retired and The franchise has moved to Shoal Lake, 55 miles north of Brandon. Thanks for the referals...

I am an employee at Patches and even though it's not fine dining it's great meat and potatoes diner with an excellent breakfast!!

Best breakfast in Brandon, real pan fries!  
And they know how to poach eggs. coffee cup always topped up, real down-home food and service.  
For lunch, you can just get a simple sandwich without all the expensive add-ons you really don't want.

So Astoria at movies and more is no longer? We will miss them!  
 
I forgot about double happiness for Chinese (best in town IMO, maybe even ever but Dicks in portage is good too.....let the jokes begin lol)  
 
For a hamburger, we like 5 guys, for hot dog and onion rings, Tastee's
