New restaurant and lounge/bar opening in Souris. Murphys Pub and The Black Rose Lounge. Sounds like its gonna be a great atmosphere with good food, a pool table, area with couches, and some big screen tv's for sporting events etc. Should be a nice addition to to food scene in west man!!! Excited to check it out.

It might stay open longer and do better if they do a better job than others.

ahhhh good old ebrandon...straight to the negative. Well I hope it does well and gives people a nice option other than what is already there.

Its going to be different than anything else available there so I think it will do great and draw people from surrounding areas and even brandon. I think Woodfire is very unique and great. Im thinking this place will be a great addition and do really well there. Its not another chicken chef or anything close to it

I'd love to have somewhere in town that's open late and decent to go to! I think it could draw from Pipestone/Hartney etc. as well as keep folks around town instead of going to Brandon for a night out. We need things happening in town to keep things busy, and night time is a big one when most things close at 8 lol

long time Souris folk, Sean & Barb Murphy. I've heard some excellent pre-opening reviews of their food and by the pictures I've seen. Wow! A local metal artist has added some touches to the place to.

Last week Sean gave me a tour of the place and have to say that's it's going to be something different for those wanting an evening out. Any of those who remember the old hall will remember the balcony and it is nice to see that it will be an active part of the new business. Not sure if they are going to stick with the hours and days as originally planned, I do believe that they are being very realistic about what it will offer the community and surrounding area.

Thursdays and Fridays 4 pm - 1 am

sounds nice. Just a fairly large place and open late for a town like Souris. I will be there when it open to check it out.
