Does anyone in or around Brandon make old fashioned dark, moist fruit cake. Perhaps someone from the Farmers Markets//

Thought i was the only one that loves "Christmas cake"! Id eat it everyday if i could.I hate to say it but it seems like people taking the time for these types of time consuming recipes(actually most baking)is a thing of the past.I have tried numerous times but its never as good as Grandma's.I wish i had taken the time to learn from her more.  
oh.. and Christmas pudding with sweet rum sauce!..I indulge in grocery store ones but i cringe at the chemicals im putting in my body!Let me know if you have any luck

Is at the craft sale at Royal Oak today...she has excellent cakes and puddings

They make them fresh there, usually around christmas season. Im not usually a fan of christmas cake but I had some from there last year and it was awesome.

I make these. They turn out really good every year. Lots and lots of rum or brandy.  

If they were at the Craft sale today then yup she has exactly what you're wishing for. Dark fruit cake and the pudding. I was just there.
