Just a curious person as to what food choices are missing in Brandon. What would you like to see? Would families be interested in Crockpot meals? You supply the crockpot and pick it up between 5 and 7 to feed your family a home cooked meal? Let us know your thoughts.

Well if we're not including restaurants and just food services I'd say it would have to be pretty amazing and easy for me to pay for this type of services. No I wouldn't pay for crockpot meals. I can do that myself...kinda the point of a crockpot, throw it in before work and come home and its done. I wouldn't want to be dropping off or picking anything up either, takes away from the easiness I'm supposed to be paying for. I might be interested in delivered home cooked meals but again, they'd really have to stand out otherwise id do it myself for cheaper. Might be a good gift idea for seniors or new parents.

If people are wanting home cooked food, and don't have the time to cook themselves, and are willing to pay I'm sure a service like this would be great. I know I'd rather pay for a home cooked meal, than a restaurant meal for sure if I needed to.  
 
I personally have made the time to cook a lot in our home, making sure we get nutritious meals that do not use all kinds of pre-prepared stuff. On days that there is not a lot of time to do this, I know that if I can't make the time to throw something in a crockpot quickly, I certainly wouldn't have time to drop my crockpot off somewhere either to have the food cooked for me.  
 
I would suggest that if you want to provide crockpot meals, just use your own crockpot, and package the meal up at the end of the day in a to go container for your customer. You could also provide prepared freezer meals that people would just have to dump in to their crockpot and go. A lot of these freezer meals take time to prepare, so being able to buy them homemade would be great for some people.

Frozen crockpot or casserole meals are a good idea. I've heard of businesses where they have basically a class where you go and do all the preparing and everyone goes home with a number of meals in freezer bags, ready to go.

I would be interested in this service

maybe you could have a cock pot membership service!

Are disposable plates, bowls, utensils included or available for an addition cost?  
 
You will probably need to offer a least 3 different choices of meat each day.

I wish Brandon had a crepe place. Kawaii Crepe in Winnipeg is one of my favourite places ever. We also lack a place to buy Gelato, and lack Thai food.  
 
If your serious about the crockpot thing, personally that wouldn't interest me.. But make sure you look into getting proper food handling permits because you can't prepare food to sell to public out of your home kitchen.

Crockpot thing....it wouldn't entice me, sorry. Crockpot cooking is the most easiest way to cook and have a homemade meal on the table for busy nights and it's not something I can see many paying for. Getting meals ready for the crockpot can be time consuming (but again, not really) but I could see some wanting to pick up freezer meals that they just throw on when they want too.  
 
I take time every now and than and cook up big batches of meals we like and freeze in size appropriate tin foil containers from the $$store. Than I just throw those in thawed or frozen for quick meals. This might be something that some would like  
 
Honestly though, between what grocery stores already sell, fast food, delivery and people home cooking on their own....I can't really think of anything that I personally am missing and would pay for.....well other than a chef that cones to my home and does all the shopping, cooking and cleaning up ;) lol

We had one like that in Brandon not that long ago, and they folded. I think where Courtney's Cupcakes is now.
