I'm pretty disappointed about this, we went in last night and were surprised to see it had been removed from the menus.  
 
I filled out the survey in the restaurant after we left, but unfortunately didn't get much for a response.  
 
I believe it is a local decision, as some stores still show it on the website, so I figure it's worth discussing on here. Perhaps if enough people are also disappointed, the owners will consider bringing it back. I know for my wife and I, losing this deal probably takes Applebees out of the lead position when we're choosing a restaurant now. My wife and I went to Applebees pretty regularly because of this deal: it gave us an affordable option when we didn't want to cook dinner, but weren't in the mood for fast food. These deals meant we could be out the door for about $30, now it's just another restaurant that will cost us $60 to eat at (as it did last night).

I picked 3 random locations on their website & didn't see the promo in any of the menus.  
 
While it was a great extended promo I'm sure they weren't making much money on it at the end of the day. Their new(ish) $11 lunch menu & appy builder deals sound yummy & give them a chance to turn a profit.  
 

are you sure its gone? went there last week and it was just in the small print at the bottom of one of their regular menu pages, didnt stand out like it did before  
 
honestly tho the place isnt my favorite but sometime we do go for the cheap deal so if it is gone that will defiantly lower the place on my list

I was also there very recently and that's what I ordered. The meal choices are slim but still get a great app and 2 meals for the price.

You might be right - I found this link off a google search (http://www.applebeescanada.com/menu/calgary/2-for-25) but when I go to the actual menu from that store it appears to be removed as well. Likely a corporate removal then, which likely means the owners won't have any option to reinstate it.  
 
Very disappointing. Applebee's was our first choice when we wanted to go out for a cheap sit-down meal. Now that it's no longer cheap, it's probably not near the top anymore - I have quite a few restaurants I prefer if I'm going to be spending $50 instead.

Yes, I'm sure it's gone. I even asked the waitress about it when I couldn't find it on the menu anymore.

That's too bad if its gone, the $11 lunch menu is a great deal too, which we have found great!!

i know i will go there even less now, i found the quality has gone down hill for years but the cheap deal kept me coming back anyway

Hi Everyone, I’m Robyn, General Manager at your Brandon Applebee’s. I have been reading your posts about our new menu and the elimination of the 2 Can Dine menu. We are in the business of satisfying guests not disappointing guests, but I see we have disappointed a few of you. Our new menu has been implemented across Canada and after checking all the online menus and advertising on the web, we can assure you that we are definitely not advertising it anywhere. There may be a few cases, pending on how your browser is set up that you may need to clear your browser cache to allow the current changes in our menu to show in your browser.  
 
2015 brought many changes to our business, increased minimum wages, large increases in commodity prices and devaluation of the Canadian dollar that deeply effects the special Applebee’s products that we bring in from the USA. The vast majority of our food purchases are purchased proudly from Canadian suppliers but our signature sauces and Applebee’s proprietary items are imported. We would have loved to keep the 2 Can Dine section on the menu but rising costs has made it impossible.  
 
We still have many great VALUE deals including our Lunch and Early Dine Menus, our Neighbourhood Nights including Mondays $5 off all burgers, Tuesdays, all you can eat Ribs, Wednesdays Kids Eat Free, Thursdays $5 off any steak Entrée and our 7 Days of Celebration menu. Plus our regular menu has some great new menu items that are of great value.

Thanks for clarifying Robyn. Will be bookmarking this thread as a perfect example of a business that perhaps took a little heat and then used the opportunity to provide a thorough, level headed follow up that's still respectful of folks' opinions!

i agree that Robyns response was well written and professional, unfortunately my complaint about Applebees isnt because of the local management or servers its with the chain itself, its ok but i really like freshly made items and there doesnt taste like it is

Hey, with all the restaurants that have left Brandon, with the great economic changes, and the expenses that every business is facing right now with us exchange rates, i am thankful we still get an Applebees.  
 
Those of us who look for the cheap deals are going to find them retracted more and more until the economy settles. This is world wide, not just Brandon. Wee need to adjust our expectations.  
 
Remember how cauliflower was a few bucks and went up to 6 for a while? Imagine buying food for a restaurant where you must pay for all the food at those new prices while your customers expect no change.  
 
Just perspective.
