I recently received a cast iron skillet similar, if not identical, to the one on this link:

I've really enjoyed cooking with it, but I'm new to cooking with a cast iron skillet. Is there a lid that works for a cast iron skillet?  
 
There are skillet recipes that call for the skillet to be covered while simmering on the stove top, but I have no way to do that with my cast iron right now. Curious how others do it.  
 
Do you have a lid, or do you use a different skillet for those type of recipes?

I just use a lid that came with another one of my pans, it fits reasonably well on my skillet (different brand than yours).

There are just lids available at Canadian Tire and other stores. Mine has various ridges so it will almost seal every size of pan.

I appreciate all of the info given. I will be shopping for a lid. =)
