Stag/Stagette "Etiquette"
12/20/2010 at 1:06 PM
Basically the situation is that I am in a wedding party, we are currently planning the stagette for the bride. My husband is a groomsman in the same party and is planning the stag.
Both bride and groom wanted "traditional" stag activities.
So he's getting a guy's poker night including strippers.
We would like to do a passion party for her and a male stripper (which would be mainly a JOKE more than anything, if anyone has ever seen a male stripper perform) as well as going to the bar for some "traditional" party games ie: crazy outfits, kiss a bald guy on the head, collect 6 condoms, etc.... that kind of thing.
Now, apparently the groom is completely against our stagette ideas as it's "disrespectful" and he doesn't want his bride to be "interacting like that" with guys at the bar.
Hmmm...so he can have strippers but she can't "interact" with any guys that night??
Just wondering what proper etiquette for behavior is during stag/stagettes. Mainly from a guys perspective. Is this groom just being a control freak? Should she then put a halt on the strippers? Is one activity more "disrespectful" than the other?
Not sure if this makes a difference, but they have been together for about 10 years, living together for at least 5. Certainly aren't taking advantage their "last night" of singledom....or shouldn't be anyways!
Just curious what others think....
