Thule Roof Racks Complete Aftermarket Set

Has anyone had any problems with their aftermarket Thule roof racks sliding on their roof? Or coming loose? I am transporting 2 kayaks on J cradles and found my rack slid back on one post. I always tighten the racks and check before departure. Looking for some guidance from people who use a whole after market system not just adding cross bars to built in rail bars on a vehicle.
