So I have a 2016 Chevy, has about 104000km! I can smell coolant every so often when the cars running and I walk by the front of the car! Recently, with the cold weather, I have noticed my coolant level dropped a notch down in the tank! I can’t see any noticeable leak at all! Does coolant level go down on its own after abit? Is it norma? Thank you

Could be a gasket leak and is mixing with oil.

Could be one of rad or heater hoses, Colder weather can shrink the hose , just a bit, letting some coolant out, Check any hose clamps to make sure they are tight. Just a suggestion as that is an easy fix.

Could also just be the Radiator. All these new ones are Aluminium with Plastic ends and being this cold it will leak.

Being a 2016, even with 106,000kms there is a good chance your leak may be covered under powertrain warranty. I think you should contact your dealer and at very least have it inspected. A small leak can easily turn into a larger one or cause more damage from overheating. A quick call to the dealer is free.

Unless the vehicle has overheated, its very unlikely your head gasket has just gone bad. Unless there is a factory defect with them, and in which case it would probably be covered under warranty. As suggested above may have come loose. Google and see what common coolant leak problems occur with your car and or bring it to an independent mechanic, unless you still have dealer warranty

I've frequently added bright orange/red coolant to many heavy duty trucks in fact my truck in driveway also has orange coolant(ford) so definitely isnt always green.

I have used pink, yellow, red, green coloured as well. Depends on the brand of vehicle, and the anti freeze.  
Probably a good idea to get your coolant system pressure checked, to find out for sure, if its leaking externally or internally. Sometimes can still be hard to pin point exact cause of the leak.

Your coolant could be green, yellow, or red.  
 
Engine oil starts as a brown colour but goes black as it ages.  
 
Transmission fluid is red.  
 
Brake fluid is fairly clear, but has a bit of a yellowish tint to it, like a dull canola oil.  
 
Power steering fluid is a similar colour to brake fluid. However in some vehicles (mainly older models) ATF is interchangeable, or could have even been what was used from the factory. So it could be red as well.
